Our Team
Jennifer Gibbons, FNP-C
Founder & nurse practitioner"This dream was born out of a deeply personal journey that began in 2017 when I faced one of life's biggest challenges: a cancer diagnosis."
The news came as a complete shock — I had no family history, no underlying medical conditions, exercised regularly, and was mindful of my diet. Yet that unexpected moment became the catalyst for my mission to empower others to take control of their health.
Determined to offer solutions beyond the traditional healthcare system, I went back to school and earned my Master's in Nursing with a focus on family practice. I became a board-certified nurse practitioner, driven by a passion to uncover the root causes of health challenges and offer natural, integrative therapies.
"One of my greatest passions is helping people who struggle with their health take back control of their lives — not just by losing weight or balancing hormones, but by improving their overall health from the inside out."
With over 30 years of experience as a registered nurse — primarily in post-anesthesia care and legal nursing — I've spent the last five years focusing exclusively on functional medicine. I'm a Certified Weight Management Specialist, a Primal Health Coach, and a Lifestyle Medicine Diplomate through the American College of Lifestyle Medicine.
At Exploring Your Health, my mission is simple: to help you achieve a healthier, fuller, and more vibrant life. Whether you're looking to lose weight and transform your metabolic health, break free from reliance on pharmaceuticals, or optimize your wellness — I'm here to guide you every step of the way.
Beyond the clinic, Jennifer teaches Jazzercise several times a week in League City, Texas — combining her love of movement, music, and community to inspire her students to find joy in staying active. She practices exactly what she preaches.

With a keen eye for detail and a talent for anticipating needs, Nikki ensures that all operational aspects of the practice run seamlessly — often addressing needs before they're even articulated.
Having previously collaborated with Jennifer, Nikki has developed an intuitive understanding of the practice's requirements. Her commitment to integrity and transparency reinforces the practice values, while her natural ability to build positive relationships contributes to the supportive atmosphere clients experience from their very first interaction.
When not orchestrating the administrative elements of the practice, Nikki enjoys competitive sports, nature trails, and time near the water — a balanced approach to life that mirrors the practice's philosophy of holistic wellness.
Aiden, Age 8
Chief Kuriosity OfficerHi! I'm Aiden, and I'm 8 years old. Every Friday, I take over social media to solve a health mystery using my detective skills! I LOVE spending time with my Honey — that's Jennifer, the nurse practitioner! — and learning all about how our bodies work.
In addition to teaching all of you on social media, I get to teach my friends at school what I learn so they can be super healthy. I'm bilingual, an honors student, and I think health stuff is SO COOL. Who knew learning about inflammation and metabolism could be this fun?
My Mission: Make health education fun for everyone — including kids! Because if an 8-year-old can understand it, anyone can.
